What I am going to do for the final week:

For the final week of this whole assignment I am repeating the first week I have done. I will make more concepts as I have done throughout the assignment. As this weeks is repeated I am not going to mood board it.

Three rules:

I am going to keep my rules the same for the final week as the first week and see if I can improve on my previous designs:

Rule 1: Has to be an older person. Elderly man or woman

Rule 2: Has to wear some sort of head gear (like a top hat)

Rule 3:  Musical instrument has to be steampunk themed or at least be linked. (Not just the musician)

Cultural influences:

This week I am definitely going to focus on cultural influences especially when it comes to face shape. I will make the faces different shapes as well as distinguish which race they are. This way there will be lots of range within my concepts.

Within this final week I will try and include as many drawing styles as I can like including silhouettes, digital drawings, hand drawings, different poses, Face shapes and cultural influences.

Quickfire Concepts - Spaceship Shop-Keeper - Week 5

Spaceship Shop Keeper – research

For the fifth week I have decided to do concepts of a spaceship shop keeper. I have picked these two and think they will work very well together. Below are some mood boards.

Above I have made my two mood boards for this week’s theme and descriptor. I like the images I have chosen and will use them as reference. Doing these two themes and descriptors are going to be tough for this week as spaceship isn’t really a theme but more of an object.

Above is my colour palette. I have chosen a light green, grey, orange, light blue and black. This will work well with the spaceship theme as they suit the colours. But with the shop keeper it will be a slight challenge.

Pose drawing:

This week’s focus is pose drawings. I will hopefully be making a series of different poses throughout this week to do with the character.

Three Rules:

1.)             Must be sci-fi related

2.)             Different face shaped (cultural influences)

3.)             Different styled shop-keepers

I have chosen these as my three rules, they shouldn’t be too difficult to stick with but as its pose week I won’t be focusing on the faces as much so making a different face shape could be quite challenging.
