Fairy-tale
leader research
For
the third week I have decided to concept fairy-tale leader. I like these
choices as I can be very creative with it. Below are mood boards of fairy tales
and leaders that I have created.
Above
I have created two mood boards of the theme and the descriptor that I have
chosen. I like all the photos I have chosen and will use them as reference
whilst I am making my concepts.
Here
I have picked my colour palette. I like the bright calm colours used as it
feels very relaxing and I hope to try and incorporate some of these colours
within my concepts, but it’s not my main priority.
Basic Research:
Fairy
tales are most commonly known throughout books but are also known throughout
films and TV shows. Some popular fairy tales are the little mermaid, little red
riding hood and chicken little.
Leaders
are also shown throughout films such as the film “small soldiers” where the
character “Chip Hazard” plays a soldier leader type of character. There are hundreds and hundreds of fairy
tales and leaders known to date.
Three rules:
1.) Has to have wings or a cape
2.) Have a special power/weapon/wand
3.) Must have different clothing on all concepts.
Above I have chosen my three rules. I think these rules are suitable for the game I have chosen, therefore will stick to them all throughout this week.

Concepts:
Here are some of the concepts that I have created throughout this week. I have also made silhouettes of these concepts and I think they have worked very well.

Your designs for your fairy-tale leader are interesting and show a lot of detail. I like the use of the wing on both genders . the use of silhouette are good and I like the way you made some for both boy and girls .
ReplyDeleteI also like the use of a colour scheme and your rules are interesting helping with the fairy-tale theme and making the character look fantasy.
ReplyDeletepros -
ReplyDelete1. I like the use of different wing designs and think that the use of colour suit them perfectly.
2.I like the use of annotations around the edge this helps to clear up any miss understanding with the drawing.
cons -
1. you could maybe add some details to the face.
